Tpms

Anybody knows the psi for the spare tire?
For 2011, all four tires are 30psi, but I'm not sure about spare, same?

I got TPMS light on and off for the last couple days depending on temperature or day/night. I checked and 2 are 29psi and 2 are 30psi. Spare is 34.
I make them all 32psi except spare I didn't touch it.
Now the light is on again. Will TPMS light on when it is too high?

No the TPMs light only activates on low pressure. I seem to recall it is ~ 25 PSI. Your spare should be the same as the rest of the tires and at 30 you are lower than most of the HL members, the consensus seems to be that 35 is the sweet spot.

Set them to 35, make sure the gauge you use is good. The cheap pencil gauges are notoriously wrong. Even as a pro I have to replace air gauges from time to time. Understand as temperature drops pressure drops. So 35 may seem high but if you fill them when the tire is like 65, 70 degrees by the time your tire hits 30, 40 degrees sitting all night your pressure will be like 32,33 psi enough to keep the light off. Nitrogen helps too, it changes pressure less than air and doesn't seep out of the tires as fast.

Can the spare tire really trigger the tpms light?? I have a tpms light on too for the longest time now, but haven't thought of to check the spare yet.

The transmitter in the spare responds exactly the same as the other 4. Your car (unless it is a hybrid) does not know which transmitter is sending a low pressure alarm.

Yep, seems to be the most common reason for the TPMS light coming on with owners.

Took my car into the tire shop to have all four tires checked. The spare was definitely down 10 psi of air. After getting that taken care of, it took care of my tpms light.
