Canada Hands-free bluetooth

Hi everyone!

I recently set my hands free bluetooth in my 2008 Highlander Limited without navigation....I've been procrastinating....

Everything checked out perfectly. Paired my phone, set up my phone, phonebook, phone lists and speed dials.

BUT...

As soon as the guidance voice says, "dialing", the connection cuts out even before I hear any dial tones. Does anyone know the fix for this? Am I doing something wrong? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

Stupid question - do you have phone network connectivity? I have a Ltd with Nav and on the top RHS of the Nav screen it tells me how many bars and battery strength. Do you have something on your radio that indicates signal/battery strength? Can you answer calls via BT?

You bring up a valid point. Actually, I don't have a data plan on my phone just the basics used for calls and texting. I was concerned that this may be an issue but have not yet followed up on it. So, no, I do not have network connectivity and will contact my provider soon. I may soon be upgrading to a new phone with a data plan (i.e. iphone)

I don't believe you need a data plan. You will need telephone service with your mobile carrier - which you have.

Can you answer calls using BT?

I was having problems with the bluetooth for awhile. I would call people and I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. I erased all the bluetooth setting and did everything all over again. Now it works perfect.
