USA temporary alarm disable

How do we temporarily disable the alarm system in our 2009 Highlander Sport while we wait for the part to be delivered to the dealership? It randomly goes off all night long, driving our neighbors nuts! We have tried many different combinations on the key fob and have left the car unlocked, but after a while it locks itself and the alarm will sound randomly. This is most annoying.

Here was a fix posted earlier

Alarm Going Off

From what is posted it sounds like you need the switch closed to keep the alarm from going off.

IMO..I would not do the cut and solder thing but talk to the dealer about unplugging the plug from the switch and making a jumper wire of some sort to close the circuit between the two contacts on the plug.
This should be a temporary fix until the new hood switch arrives.
Have the dealer do it so you don't end up with a warranty problem if something goes till.
