Question battery group number for 08 HH ?

I need to change my battery on my 08 Hybrid Highlander.
Anybody know the group number of the battery
so that I can get a replacement ?

I looked at the maintenance sticky-thread, but
that was not helpful.

My owner's manual does not list it either.

I believe most Toyota's use size 35 for the main 12v battery, and I've read the OEM panasoic is somewhere at like 650 CCA's ( on non-hybrid v6), so i guess pick something around that...though hybrid could be different. The battery is in the trunk isn't it? You might have to look to confirm. The top of the battery is about 7" by 9.5" for a group size 35 battery

The battery group size should be 51R.

Any auto parts store should carry them. Try Advance Auto Parts and see what they've got, they're usually pretty well stocked.

Pop the hood, break out a tape measure, and take some measurements. The 3.5L has a battery about 1.5" wider. The HH is using a lighter battery(15lbs shaved). So, its early smaller to save room for something else, or small to save weight. If the room is there, get the group 24 or 35 battery. If not, still with the compact 51r.

Group 51r should be easy enough to find. Check with the Napa, Autozone, Pepboys, AdvanceAuto, Sears.... and other other part stores in your area.

My local "Advance Auto Parts" store tried to sell me something other than a 51R. "My computer does not show a 51R..."
Their web site does not show a 51R either.

autozone website has them, and claims most of their stores have them available, now I don't know if that means they stock them or are able to order them.
