Well your lucky you have to replace that one, and not the other bank's sensor. Bank 2 is on the manifold facing the bumper, the other one is a pain to get to (you have to remove lots of parts to get to it according to my Toyota TIS docs)...
Anyway from looking at the docs I got (I'll PM you the docs (4) I got on the sensor after I type this message) you can basically look straight down at the exhaust manifold once you open the hood and see the back of the sensor (through a hole in the manifold heat shield). Looks like all you need is a socket wrench and maybe some adapter to get it out.

good luck and to Toyota Nation!

I don't, and I can't find one in my docs/online resources. You will probably have to call the parts department at your local dealership to find that one out. But for what its worth I believe the online toyota retail stores are calling it a "front manifold oxygen sensor" instead of air fuel ratio sensor on bank 2, but i'm not sure on that.

I have the same issue with my 08 Highlander. The dealership tried to get my wife to get the work done for $503.12. The part number is 89467-48130 (replaced by 89467-OE040) Could you post or send me those docs on how to replace it? I would really appreciate it! Thanks

$503.12!?! that's expensive. Which bank's sensor are you needing to replace (the one facing the bumper or the one facing the firewall)? From the price of the repair, I would bet its the one facing the firewall (sounds like a very high labor charge).

It is the bank 1 sensor 1 (back of engine). That is what is on the paperwork from the dealer. They want to charge 257.33 for the part and 188 for the labor to misc fees and tax.

One the same paperwork they quote $45 to replace the cabin air filter. What a money maker that is for them seeing how it cost $16-$20 for the filter and 4-5 minutes to replace!

I'll send you what I got on it. Its a major pain to get to the rear bank's sensor (according to the docs)

Your right about the stupid filters though, local dealership wanted a ton of money to replace the engine and cabin filter, went to Walmart and got both for $30 bucks.

If your problem is bank 2 sens 1 then it's easy to replace, although, I can't find the diagram anywhere. It's at the front of the engine and can be seen by looking down on top of the exhaust manifold. It actually can be seen thru a round hole in the heat shield where the wire comes thru. You may have to move the top radiator hose out of your way first. Then remove the exhaust manifold heat shield by 3 small bolts and it's right there. One problem I had was that the sens I bought, (from rockauto.com), the wire was a little too short, so I had to remove some ties from the engine side of the wire harness to make some slack so I could plug the two ends together. It was really pretty easy and I'm no mechanic. Hope this helps.

Access to bank 1 A/F sensor is from under the vehicle, back side of the engine. It's not that bad with a ratchet and extension. Just use a MAPP torch to carefully heat up the the exhaust pipe around the sensor before you try to loosen it. I tried at first without heat and the sensor would not budge, after heating for a few seconds it broke free fairly easily.
