USA Driver side button identification

Hello all,

This image is identical to my interior switch layout and I am curious what this button does?

The far left button, is that a windshield heater? or windshield fluid heater or something?

Also, anyone know what the blank button between that, and the dimmer actually is for? I am curious what I am missing there...

If it helps, I have a '09 Highlander Hybrid Limited.

Thanks in advance!

The Button w/ the wind shield icon is for the front wind shield de-icer. The blank spot next to it is for an optional power outlet that comes with the rear DVD entertainment option that would have been located in the back of the vehicle above the left wheel. It would also be paired with a set of RCAs for external input to the rear DVD system.

I can post a picture when I get home tonight of the button as well as the outlet location in the back.

Thanks for the quick reply, and the picture would be much appreciated! I recently bought an inverter and planned to install it into the car, so trying to make it look more OE/factory would be great!

yep that 2nd pic has the 110 watt OEM inverter you can get as an option (paired with rear DVD i believe). That far left buton is the windsheild wipers de-icers (those lines at the very bottom of the front windshield), not the windshield defroster, that's on the center console. those blanks are just to fill holes from non-selected options. I have 1 next to the cup holders because I have a FWD and the AWD ones have hill decent control there (I think)

Hi

My 2 cents: Here's a picture of my dashboard. I have a 2012 Highlander SE (2.7L, 4-Cyl. FWD). In my case it's anti-skid.

On a separate note, I would like to know how do the wipers de-icers work (living in Miami, I don't think I'll have too many opportunities to see them in action!)

Cheers

strange, your traction control disable button is up there, mine is under the steering wheel down below... anyway.

you know the defrost for the rear windows with lines going across? You know how when you turn those on it just warms up along those lines, same deal with the wiper de-icers. It just heats the glass directly below the wipers. I don't think its necessarily powerful, just enough to loosen the ice/snow a little bit. (when the south got hammered with snow last year, they didn't work all to well, though there was 6" of snow on top of my car it had to deal with)

Thanks for the rear outlet location/shot, I appreicate it, that makes sense now.

Also, based on the replies of how some have the AC 115 vs traction control switch in the same place, perhaps its a hybrid vs non-hybrid difference?

example, I don't have any type of traction control/hill decent/etc on my hybrid.

I don't see a DAC (downhill assist control) button next to your Snow button, like mine has.
