My wife took in our 2011 highlander for its first oil change / maintenance and the dealer found a nail lodged in sidewall of the front tire. They removed the nail and said the tire was not leaking, but recommended to replace the tire for $355 (Toyo 245-55-19). Now I know these tires are more expensive because of there oddball size, but $355?!? What are folks paying for these Toyo tires? I think I will just replace this tire with the spare and use the 'damaged' tire as a spare. I plan on replacing all these tires in the next year or two since I hear they don't last all that long anyways.
BTW, the dealership tried to explain to my wife that they are high performance superior tires, which is why they are so expensive. Umm yeah, whatever...

Call me crazy, but I always buy at least 2 tires at a time to go on the same axle. I think it makes for a better ride and they wear more evenly. You might check with Discount Tire, as you can get 2
Bridgestone
Blizzak DM-V1 in your size for 468.98 out the door. So for a little more then 100.00 more, you can get 2 tires. Thats the way I would go, but I just hate Stealerships anyway.
