2012 Highlander - Blizzard Pearl or Magnetic Grey Metallic?
Hey Everyone,
New to the forum. My wife and I are buying a 2012 Highlander Sport and are caught in the argument of which color to get. I like the grey and she likes the white. I would be okay with the white except for the fact that the bumpers for 2011/12 are not fully color keyed. I don't understand why Toyota made this change. I think the plastic stands out on the white vs the grey. What are people's feelings on it? I really wish I could have the 2010 bumpers on the 2012!
It's akin to telling someone what to order off a dinner menu.
Who will be the primary driver of the HL ? If your wife..well ....

I'd say go with Magnetic Grey, we have Blizzard Pearl on our 2009 Sport with Black Leather and I have no complaints, however if I was forced to buy a new HL with the matte black lower valences, unless I was going to spend the extra money color matching the lower valences which would be super expensive with the Blizzard Pearl, it'd be better to go with Grey.
She will be the primary driver of the car. The thing is that I do like the white, just not with the unpainted bumpers. I might just go with the white...happy wife, happy life.
I like the white on the 2011/2012. Ours is an 08 in Grey and I've been really happy with it. Personally I think the 11/12s look better in white than grey and the 08-10s look better in grey than white.

Believe it or not, White is easier to keep clean. I like darker colors (especially black) but you can't keep them from showing dirt. Just my 2 cents opinion

I 110% agree with that. Black is by far my favorite color on a car. When its clean, it great (I love the mirror like finish after you clay bar and wax it ), but the way the highlander sucks in dirt onto the tailgate makes it hard to keep clean. Its always a shade of dark grey a few days after I wash/detail it.
That's why I like the grey, it looks good, can get dirty and not really show it as much.
I have other family members who have white cars, and they are usually a cream color because they get dirty instead of flat white.
