Squeaky / rattling noise and damaged door frame
I traded in my 2008 highlander into a new 2011 HL with a thought that this will be improved and will have no rattling noises. Aside from other noises that I hear in my new HL, one is really bothering me. It is the squeaking or rubbing noise from the driver side door top corner. The dealer on my complaint replaced the door seal but no benefit.
I though I should do my own inspection, I removed the door seal and was very disappointed to see that the seam in the corner of the window frame from the inside was not properly welded. I took the car to the dealer, they referred me to their authorized body shop to fix it. I am waiting for their call to have the car in to do the body work.
Just wondering any of you folks had the same issue? If any of you folks have noise coming from the door inspect the frame for seams and share your experience with me.
