Brake fluid Dot 3 only?

I'm going to do a brake bleed soon since the car is just over three years old. The master cylinder reservoir cap has Dot 3 on it, but I was not sure if I could use a Dot 3 and 4 compatible fluid such as this from Castrol.
http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7024043
It's listed as Dot 4, but it exceeds SAE 1703, and FMVSS No. 116 DOT 3.

Some other information I found on StopTech's website contradicts using different grades of fluid.

"One last note on the DOT ratings: Systems designed for a particular type of fluid (especially prior to the wide distribution and use of DOT 4 fluids) should continue to be filled with that fluid. For example, in a car that was delivered with DOT 3 fluid, the internal components of the system (seals, brake hoses, and fittings for example) were specifically designed and tested for compatibility with the chemical composition of DOT 3 fluid. Because the DOT 4 grade fluid typically contains a different chemical composition, compatibility of system components may be an issue." http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...rs/brake-fluid

Should I look for new brake fluid that is only Dot 3? Would you guys just pay up at the dealer and get the Toyota brand or have any other recommendations?

Agreed. Toyota uses DOT 3 and I'd stick with that.

^ This. However, you cannot use DOT 5. It is NOT interchangeable with the others.
