I just brought a black 2012 highlander se. I am looking for a running board for it. I saw the Toyota one but it was 575. What are people here using?

For a quick read in lieu of forthcoming answers, take a look at the Running Board Discussion link in the external modifications section of the Mods & Maint. sticky thread.

What would look better, black or chrome side step, I can't find any picture of black highlander with side step.

I vote chrome, always looks good on black cars (in proportion ). But I am more of a fan of those anodized silver/brushed aluminum ones personally.
I know the 2nd one isn't a 2011+ one but you get the idea

they are like $200-500 for a set on carid if you don't want to go the OEM route.
