Third brake light wiring question.

There are two wires leading to the third brake light. Both are very thin, one is solid black, and one is white with a thin black line on it.

My question is, which one is the hot wire?

And what is the gauge of that wire?

Thanks

It looks like the black is the + and white is the - (check with a multimeter to be sure). Its kinda strange, usually toyota is pretty good about keeping only the black and grey wires as ground wire, and the color ones as +, oh well (edit: also + line is usually a solid color, - is usually striped on most things I've worked on in my car).
As for gauge, I don't know exactly, I would guess probably 20-22 from what I've seen toyota use on other low power parts.
