My 2005 LE now has over 6000 miles and I've learned to better predict this odd behavior. Yanks is very much right about the slow speed response. Thats where it shows up the very worst. If you really want to see how ugly it can get, go to an intersection where you have to make a very sharp left hand turn, slow way down, let off on the brake start through the turn and try to gradually accelerate through the turn completion. Good luck...my car will take a full 1-2 seconds before it responds...don't try to force it or it'll jerk your head off when the computer finally figures out its time to go. I don't know if any of the rental companies are using these in their fleets, but my bet is that if they are, there have been some accidents because of this. Navigating through parking lots, slowing down and then resuming speed through intersections, and areas with speed bumps will really show how awful this "fly by wire" mess is... I'm sure hoping that there will be an eventual fix. Seems like every time I just start to really enjoy driving, this little gremlin pops up and spoils the experience.
