There is a guy down the street who wants his 4 Runner gone. Its been sitting in his yard scince december. It runs and drives but something concerns me:
The frame is rusted over thick. And when you turn the wheel there is loud cracking sounds. and the whole thing creeks and rocks when it goes over bumps. It has 136,000 miles on it and it runs great. Just a loud exhaust.
And the pick up is lousy too...is that normal? Its a early to mid 90's 4 runner.
ehhh...umm....i say it's a no go....don't touch it.
why don't you run the vin?....that old and rusted? i woudn't touch it.

The Toyota's frame tend to rust worse on the inside, most of the damage probably isn't visible. Sounds like an excellent deal for a running, running gear with low mileage.

Ya, he is right about Toyota frames, rust from the inside. But, mine had alot of surface rust, it's an 87 Pickup that has been driven on salted winter roads for 8 years, and the inside of the frame is in good shape. So, I would buy the 4 runner and enjoy!

is the price is very reasonable, i would go for it. u never know what could happen. it could run great and never have problems with it. or it will have some problems but the price u got it for was low enough it wont hurt ur wallet.
