87 Alternator Handling

I have a cd player head unit in my 87 pickup. Its a 25 watt, and the alternator handles it fine. But, i want to put an amp in for my back speakers, which are not stock, that runs 50 watts. Will my alternator be able to handle the cd player and the amp running? Or do i need to upgrade my alternator? My current alternator is not the original alternator, but it is stock spec. Thanks

Yes, it will handle it fine. I had a 300xi Autotek(300w RMS) and a Gmh-50(100w) Pioneer in addition to the premier cd deck(50w) and I had no complaints. If you go higher in wattage, consider a capacitor.
