Start up exhaust leak?

when i first start up my truck once cool it sounds like there is a leak when i start moving and then goes away once warmed up and is really quiet, anyone else have a problem like this? any help where to look would be great. thanks.

your manifold is warped .....

you will need to remove it and have it resurfaced . Resurface the manifold and replace the gasket ....



what is happening is the differance between the cast manifold and the alum. head ... they are contracting and expanding differently due to differant metals. clamping force has been compromised .

i was thinking of just getting a new manifold or headers, that should be the same right? i wouldnt need to resurface the head would i?

i did it today and it worked and it was the same gasket not even new i just wanted to see if it would work before i got a new one it did and i will replace it when i get headers.
