surface rust

any tricks to getting surface rust off of chrome wheels?

you would have to sand or media blast it off and then rechrome the wheel. i think. you could try some chemicals like CLR or Lime Away. but i think that those would take off the chrome tht the rust has bonded to as well.

i got the same issue, ive tried lime away, and a turtle wax product no luck.... where can you get wheel acid??

i read somewhere that cherry coke, and tinfoil works, but haven't tried it yet.... anybody else heard of that?

any car detail shop ... should be able to head you in the right direction in your area .... its what they use to clean up there wheels , bumpers , any and all chrome . good stuff.
