4Runner 1/4'r replace .

cut and hacked ... and now rusting again ...

time for something that wont rust ... fiberglass .

started by removing the rear gate , lights and all the hardware .

now time to start cutting .

hacked out the center section .... so i could get a better look .

some door gap photos ....The contrast is a tought shot ...

all the edges still haver to be seam sealed .... just like factory .

I'll get some others after its painted ...



oh Also you notice he has a door edge moulding .... gap is just a little larger with out the moulding .

Wow, those pics take me back. I had a '85 4Runner in high school that was the same color. Nice.
Fiberglass is nice because it doesnt rust but if you ever get into an accident watch out, becuase the fiberglass body parts will shatter in a million pieces.

hmm, im tempted to get some of their pannels, the east coast is hell on any vehicle for rust, especially foreign cars. was there a noticeale difference in weight between the steel that you pulled off and the 'glass pannel you put on?
