off road in a stock 2wd pickup?! we did it hahahaha

so many people thought we couldnt do anything in my pickup....i dont have 4wd, no lift, no power, mohave r/s tires (really crapy and cheap)....all these ford and dodge guys were makin fun of me....then i followed them on this trail....since these guys needed so much room for their shit they thought the extended cab and bed would be cool....but they forgot how easy it is to high center with a truck so long.....his wife was takin pics of me in my dinky toyota pullin him over this lip. i was takin it through mud (thank god for momentum), over some stuff i never woulda thought to try and so on....thats when i dicovered these guys and their toyotas...they saw my little truck ahead of theses rams and f-250's and thought it was so cool. it was a good day so i thought i would share it with you all...i have some pics i took later in the day...i ran home to get my cam and they were all gone by then

Out on the trail, narrow is better. As long as there is no mud, snow or deep sand, 2wd works fine. I took a stock Ford Ranger on the trails in the Mountains north of Tucson and other places without trouble. The main thing I worried about was the passenger car tires.

oh we hit a lot of mud, just made sure that we had plenty of momentum to get through it cuz i knew we couldnt rely on traction or 4wd haha.

4 wheel drive, big fat dooky tires, and expensive lifts are not all that; these things are only useful in certain situations. I live in the desert with lots of loose sand, and I could get just about anywhere a tricked out four-by could get just by dropping the tire pressure on my stock 2 wheel drive to 5-10 pounds.

another trick is not engaging 4wheel drive the second you drive off the road; this is a bad idea because if you get stuck when you're in 4wheel drive then you are really screwed.

hell even old 3/4 and 1 ton chevy 2wds never get stuck, unless you stop in mud, if you keep moving then youre fine in almost any vehicel, but sand is a no no for 2wd's

found that out the hard way before..

my 2wd yota pickup has no weight over the back end, so it gets stuck even in my real old hard packed gravel driveway if im not careful(on a slope)

heh

good luck
