fuel guage still doesnt work

alright heres what ive gotten for readings at the fuel sender unit

on the main (chassis side) of the wiring plug theres three wires coming from it:

yellow with red stripe
yellow with blue stripe
and tan/brown(matches with the white wire on the sender unit side of the plug)

yellow with red stripe makes the guage go all the way to full when i ground it to the frame

yellow with blue does nothing to the guage when i ground it

same with the tan/brown one, nothing happens when it is grounded

next i measured resistance between 1 and 3 wires on the sender unit plug thats the red striped yellow and the white wires

cant get anything out of those two cept zero reading, no change on the ohmmeter

also nothing betwen any of the three wires except for 1.9 between the blue striped yellow and the white wires

all the other combos are dead, between these three wires, nothing, all zero


the tank is around half full


what do you think?


sounds like my guage works after all, is getting hot source and such,


do i have another bad sender unit ??
