fellow pick-up drivers, Trent is only 16, But I'm 17 and I race my Tacoma too. I beat all Hondas except DOHC ones. I resently raced a 3000GT SL rolling 1st and I was pulling on him first and second, but once he threw 3rd he got in front of me and didn't pull on me more than half a car. And I'm stock

Didn't know the cat. was so restrictive. ANyways, I have some sad news.... I brought my Tac back to Toyota since the lease was up and I didn't have any time to sell it. I will miss it dearly.

So what's your 0-60 mph time? 1/8 mile time or 1/4 mile time?

By what i know of double clutching is used wen racing rolling. Lets say your rolling 55-60 on 3rd gear you have a little lag so what I do is I clutch in give it gas and pop the clutch. That helps me get more rpms I might just get ahead. Thats my way of double clutching.

That's not the correct term of "double clutching" but I understand and have personally used your above method. It's definitely not the best thing for the drivetrain.

1/8 mile

during a recent trip to kennedale speedway (our somewhat local 1/8 mile drag strip) i raced my 93 4x4 pickup - specs are - 4 cylinder 22RE, 5 speed manual, single cab, short bed, with 32x11.5" tires (if you know toyotas, thats big for stock).

run 1
reaction time - .999
60' - 2.705
330' - 7.900
mph @ 330' - 43.94
1/8 mile - 12.171
mph @ 1/8 mile - 56.28

run 2
reaction time - .992
60' - 2.596
330' - 7.699
mph @ 330' - 44.45
1/8 mile - 11.941
mph @ 1/8 mile - 57.21

run 3
reaction time - .941
60' - 2.674
330' - 7.776
mph @ 330' - 44.43
1/8 mile - 12.002
mph @ 1/8 mile - 56.66

this was my first time ever to race my truck (at a staged track). my engine is 100% stock asside from a flowmaster muffler.
I hope that yall will find this information somewhat interesting!
