Pickup beds from another year truck

Hello, well finding an 86 bed in PA is impossible for a reasonable price and since the truck is going to be for a college kid there is no reason to pay the big bucks. I know that you can put on a later toyota bed easily enoght but is there any other brand out there that you can use? just wondering ... pictures would be great .... thank you

I once put a stepside bed from an 80' chevy luv on an 89 toy and it actually looked good. The best part was,IT WAS FREE!! AND..it was fiberglass for all you out there in the rustbelt, thats a good thing.on yor truck, they always rust out in the seam-weld area of the bedside, and under the boxfloor. Im almost certian that if its a shortbox, anything 84-88 should fit, although there is some variety of styles.

Isuzu. GM didn't have a small pickup of their own, so they imported and rebranded Isuzu KB pickups under the label 'LUV' (Light Utility Vehicle).

The Big 3 / Japan corporate inbreeding lays out as follows:

- Ford / Mazda
- GM / Isuzu
- Chrysler / Mitsubishi

Toyota did set up NUMMI (and jointly design / produce some models like the Geo and the Vibe) as a joint venture with GM, but there are no 'corporate family' relationships between Toyota and any of the Big 3.
