New 2007 Tundra - Do NOT sell your current truck yet!

Do not be mis-informed. Though they new trucks are being built, they will not be available until February. Toyota is going to stock pile them for now. They want to wait for the new larger V8 before releasing the new model line-up. Dealers have been getting allocation information, so many are assuming this means the trucks will be available before the end of the year. But the allocation information is still incomplete on purpose. We do not have pricing, options, and have no idea what the model codes even mean.

We are trying to build enough for each US dealer to have 4 by February,1 of which should have the new V8. 1200+ dealers in the US, that means about 5000 trucks. About 20 workdays a month and we are making less than 100 trucks a day right now, so you see why they won't be available until February. We're ramping up but won't be to 2 full production shifts until early spring.

No offense, but what kinda idiot sells their current truck before their new one gets here?
Also, they arent being released untill February, so why would anyone expect them to be available before then?

Octane,

Sometimes you have to read between the lines and also read what has been posted to this point!

With many consumers being told that the new Tundra will be out before the end of the year, some have started to advertise their current trucks for sale to set something up in time to get the new truck. This of course is a waste of their money and time at this point, as well as the potential buyers time.
