89 p/u 22re hesitating!!!

My truck usually runs great, got a k&n air filter on it, ran a little smoother, no for about a month, it has been hesitating pretty bad...as it hesitates even if i floor it, I hear a puffing noise from the exhaust until it kicks in...It seems to happen only after like 3 min. of normal driving...after the 3 mins....it doesnt want to take off...I tried injector cleaner, new plugs, wires still good, new dis cap....I havent tried the fuel filter yet....also it idles good and in park it revs up fine...no puffing....

i think your describing the same problem my truck has. i have replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, knock sensor, redid the timing, did a compression test, did a vaccume line test and the truck STILL hesitates. it feels like the engine boggs down if i floor it and then finally when it gets to about 4000 it starts to pull. truck has been to local import shop 2 times and they havent fixed it yet... i have to call on monday and ask them to get my truck in again... when/IF they finally fix it, ill post again and let you know what it turned out to be.
