If I understand correctly, you're mainly interested in the sport models (S-Runner = 2001 - 2004; X-Runner = 2005+). 2005 was the arrival year for the totally-redesigned / upsized Tacomas.

If you're specifically interested in the sport models I'd recommend:

S-Runner ('01 - '04) = customtacos.com (CT)
X-Runner ('05+) = CT, XR Underground
2005+ Tacomas in general: TN (here), CT, Tundra Solutions (TS)

If you're interested in off-road issues, I'd recommend Tacoma Territory (TTORA) first, followed by YotaTech (YT).

There's no one forum that's 'best' for all models and all topics. I scan CT, TN, TS, TTORA, and YT daily.
