help with 80 4X4

Okay I just got my 80 22R 4X4 a few days ago. It was running fine except for a dead battery but it jumped fine. Now a few days later I try to jump it put it doesnt turn over. I think it might be the soloniod because it is clicking. Im trying to jump it with a battery charger with a 70Amp boast of power. Could it be because the battery is so dead? Or do I need new starter components? Also I noticed that there is a little rust on the frame near the rear wheels. The rest of the truck is failry good tho. It has a few small cracks and there is 1 small hole. What should I do?

Try charging the battery and then checking the voltage , should be around 12.5 V or more. If it's less, then the battery is toast and you'll need a new one . If it's good then check all your connections at the battery and starter , check the engine ground as well. If all else fails, pull the starter and get it tested at Cdn Tire .
