ive done it on my 93 pu
its realtive easy, but just time consuming. You have to remove a lot of stuff just to get to teh cluster. You have to remove teh glovebox, the heater and ac knobs and the faceplate, the trim around the radio, the lower part of the dash below the steering wheel, then the upper part that covers the cluster. After that is all removed you can get to the screws that hold the cluster in. After you remove the screws the cluster will slide out. Just unclip the connections in the back and walla the cluser is now seperate from the truck. You will need a flat head driver and carefully pry the plastic cover on the cluster. after you get that off follow the instructions for installing your guages onto cluster. For mine i had to remove the old facesto put the new ones on. Be very careful of the gas and temp needles i bent mine and and get false gas readings and my temp dosent fall below the half way mark even when its totally cooled. Oh btw while your back there now be the time to replace your back lighting for the guages. factory bulbs have a green sleeeve that covers the bulb to give it that greenish color. If you dont remove that your guages will still have green backlighting. Hope this helps in anyways.
