Daytime Drivind Lights

How is it possible to disable the day time driving lights on a 2003 Sequoia. The Dealer isn't telling.

I was told by my dealer that it can't be done without cutting wires on my 02 4runner. I believe it's a programming thing, but I don't know for sure. Hope someone knows.

On my 2000 4Runner there is a little box on the fender wall next to the battery - just unplugged it and no more DRL! Later year 4Runners it's under the dash just over the driver's right foot, clearly marked DRL relay.

Maybe this info will help - can't imagine Toyota has too many different methods.

Thanks, I'll have to look for a DRL relay on my boss' 03 Tundra 4x4, doesn't toyota realize hunters go to the tree stand in the dark before daylight?

Yeah, thanks. I'll look for it. It's the one disappointment I had when spending that much money for the vehicle I want that I can't even turn the headlights off when I want. The dealer just keeps saying "why would you want them off?" It's hard to explain that when going to my hunting stands, legally shining deer or sitting at some boat launches unloading and loading the boat where there are signs saying to turn off headlights that I'd like to have the choice.

The DRL has a 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. I pulled and no more DRL.... or high beam! I need the high beam so back the fuse went. Still working on it, but getting close.
