Have the battery professionally checked
The battery may show 12 volts on your voltmeter, but it may not have enough cranking amps to turn the motor. Pull the battery and take it to Advance Auto or Autozone and have them do a free check for you. The only true way to check a battery is under a load.
If the battery is good, and has a full charge, you may either have an alternator problem (which you should have gotten a light), a bad starter motor or solenoid, or possibly a bad ground or corroded contact.
