Rolled my 86 toyota truck .. now what?

Hello, I rolled my 86 toyota extend cab 4X4 a few months back and did a number on it but it still drives fine (havent been driving it) and its just body panel damage. The frame and engine and such are okay. The cab is totally ruined and so is the bed. The question is now what? Should i just write the truck off and sell it to the junkyard, or part it out myself. I dont really want to do either since i put a fair amount of money into it before i rolled it to get it running perfect. How much would a hole used front end (cab and fenders) cost from a junk yard? Should i just by a parts truck w/ a shot engine. I dont really know any thoughts would be greatly appriciated.. Thank you
taylor

Cut off what is not needed and put an exo cage on it (sounds like you need one)........that would make for a LOT more fun! You could also build a flatbed.......if you dont or have never worked with metal......now might be a good time to go buy a cheap arc welder and start practicing!

have good body with bad tranny for you in CA

I have an 86 extra cab with a good body that has been recently repainted. The tranny started making a lot of noise and so I'm looking to get rid of it. It has been painted a sea foam green color. Let me know if you are interested in it. You would have to get it in Santa barbara. Thanks.

I haven't rolled anything yet but I've slid my truck backwards into a ditch, scared the hell outta passengers, done a 360 on a wet onramp onto an interstate, and through all that goofing off I've never hurt my truck or any other vehicle! Course there was that tree when i was chasing after my brother... but it was just a scratch... anyways. My point is no matter what, even through couple of wrecks i've been in in my truck because of people hitting me, it's ripped me a new one but I still strut around in my beaten machine. I can relate to your Now what? question as I've been there a couple times... even when my situation wasn't as bad as yours, but I say pick up the pieces and parts and start over and do it again! Don't let rolling it stop you like one guy I met in Advance Auto Parts. He had the NICEST freekin 2000 4Runner I had ever seen and had never taken it offroad... HIDEOUS! It was begging for it but he was scared to. Not too cool if you ask me. Point is though don't let this slow you down. Snatch you up a spare body and spare parts like I do, and will keep doing. You're still alive and seem to have your health so go at it again wo0t!

Torch off the IFS and weld on a solid axle, weld the rear diff, lock the front, bob the rear, throw in a crawler, get a trailer and a tow vehicle.

Exo cage is heavy, just go with an internal.
