22RE engine swap

Any suggestions, anyone? I have and 86 4runner and an 86 pickup. Both have 22RE engines but the pickup has a trashed body and a rebuilt engine. The 4runner has a great body but a tired engine. So, I'm going to swap the two and hope to have a great 4runner. I've never done this before and have been reading the manual for the trucks. It seems straight forward, but I know that is never the case. Anyone have any suggestions I want to be prepred for about things I might not come across in the manual? Is this as easy as it looks? Any suggestions can reply at mattrmontgomery@hotmail.com. Thanks.

You can also try to swap the bodies instead of the engine. I haven't researched this at all but I know people do it.

No problem, i just did it on my 94 pickup.
swapped out the engine with an 89 model while i rebuild the 94.
biggest headache, was a wiring harness that passes through the intake mannifold. no way to get it out.
Solution,,,, cut the small piece of metal connecting the 2 intake pipes in the middle.
Good luck.
