planning on getting a truck.

n00b here. I just want to ask a few questions about buying a truck (toyota of course). I was thinking of getting an older body style, but I don't know what year(s) they were made in and what they're even called! :p Is the truck that was in the movie 'Back to the Future' a toyota? The one Michael J. Fox wanted to get in the beginning and ended up getting it in the end? Well I hope so, because that's the body style I want.

I pulled up to a toyota truck that was like that at a stoplight yesterday. It was raised and it looked good for a winter get around vehicle. The driver seemed pretty happy too! It was raised and had a bunch of goodies. I would of pulled into the dealership and asked him some questions, but I was stuck on the other side of the lanes in traffic

- Regular size. Want something around the same size as an S10.
- A 2 seater won't hurt. Something with separate seats, most older trucks I've been in are bench seats.
- 4x4 for winter time.
- Pickup for sure.
- Doesn't matter really right now. What type of motor(s) are in the late 80s - early 90s truck?

I believe the only engines available before 1988 are all 4 cyls for Toyota trucks. The optional V6 (3.0L, 3VZ) came in 1988 which I don't know if they were thrown in the pickups of that year but they did get thrown in the 4Runners.
