Replacement shocks for my 89 V6 4x4

I need to replace the shocks on my 1989 3.0 V6 xtra-cab 4x4. The ones on there now are the factory ones from 89. Can anyone recommend a set of good shocks to replace my stock ones? My truck is stock, no lift or modifications. I have been looking at Bilsteins and KYB MonoMax. Has anyone put these on their truck? Feedback and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Bilsteins are the most recommended shocks in the toyota community. Edelbrocks are also good.

For what it's worth......I really love my Doetsch Tech 8000's. Thick piston and soft ride.
