Is this truck worth it??

Hey, at the moment im looking at the 89 toyota pu xcab deluxe 4WD that this guys has for sale and it has 190000 miles on it but its in nice shape and runs great, it has a new tranny and clutch, brand new tires, and paintjob. My main concern of course is the high miles, but every other thing seems in great shape, the seller wants $2700 is it worth it? any advise is wanted

Toyota's last a long time, but the top ends of the engines usually get worn out after a good 100-150 thousand miles. So it is something to consider that you mite have to do if you want the truck. It sounds decent but just a warning unless you have the extra money, to rebuild the top end will cost around $200-$300 depending on what you have to have done.

My pickup is the same as the one you mention and my engine (3.0L V6, 3VZ) got almost 300,000 miles before it went out. Normal maintenance is all I did to the truck. I do have a lead foot and floored it the majority of the time. No kidding on that.
