Question 4x4 VS 2WD Bed

Is there any difference in the toyota beds. I have a 1986 Toyota 4x4 short bed. I found a good bed no rust on a 1986 2wd truck, they look the same, but I can't tell if the fender flare is wider on the 4x4 or not.

The beds are the same....as long as they were both
made in California (non locking fuel door).

If the 86 has a Japanese made bed (locking fuel door)...it
will fit, but you'll need to change a few things around.

The bed i'm looking at does have a locking fuel door. What items have to be changed out. Are the fender flares the same width?
