Modding

Can you mod 1989 toyota pickup stock, like you can a Honda. What type of engines can you do swaps with? Any info on engines, moding tips would help alot.

For the 4WD, the main swaps are either a small block chevy or a Ford 5.0L HO. Also I have heard of some other engines such as the 7M-GTE, the 7M-GE, the LT-1, and the 5VZ. That's all I can think of right now. For the V8's, I believe you have to throw a lift on the truck to get enough clearance and to get additional strength for the extra weight of the new engine.

3.4 chev, 3.4 toyota, 3.4 toyota w/ super charger, 3.0 toyota straight 6,3.0 toyota straight 6 turbo, 5.0 ford

those are the most popular ones, but what are you looking for if its for more power do go to nuts, toyota are strong but to much power and things start to break. If you put a good size motor in make sure the drive train can take it
