My 22re is done!!!!! need new one....

I blew my engine on my 4runner, does anybody have, or know where I can get another 22re to swap out... Or what cars does toyota make with this engine....22re

pls help.........can't find one to save my life......

You can find these motors in 2nd gen 4runner(1 gen have 22r carburator engine)
in toyota pick up and some Celica

I have one in my garage. It ran OK when I pulled it. It has about 110 K since the lower unit was rebuilt just before I purchased my 87 4 Runner. (Lady had straight 30 weight oil in it at 30 below and decided to "race" the engine to get the heater to work sooner.

Anyway, I stumbled onto a 22RE with 75 K, put new bearings in it and did the swap. You can do bearings, pistons and everything for under $500 and have a new engine.
