landcruiser swap

i'm pretty set on swapping the 7mge into my '85 4WD pick up but i'm a little concerned about achiving smog legal status (esp. going with a car to truck swap).

in the bizarro world of california emissions it seems like the only way to go is truck to truck swap. are there any landcruiser engines that will bolt onto an '85 pick up trans? thanks

I'm sure there are. Some Landcruisers overseas use the R series tranny so it may just be a matter of finding the right bellhousing (probably from overseas). There is the issue that the Landcruiser I-6's are even longer than the Supra I-6's so fit may be near impossible as opposed to just tight.
