1992 SR5 Pickup

I am looking at a 1992 SR5 tonight and don't know much about it, but wanted to see if you have any advice/things to look for.

I do know that it has 230k miles on it, don't know what engine work has been done or anything about the history (I will get all that tonight). The truck is owned by a friend who just bought it for the winter and is now selling it.

My initial thought is that he will give it to me for around $2,000, so any engine work that would need to be done still makes it a good deal...I think.

Any thoughts?

If it's a V6, find out if it's ever been checked for head gasket leaks. There is a recall for headgasket problems with that model.
