gas leak, starting problems with 92 4cyl

hey, this is my first time posting here cause my toyota has been so reliable! haha, anyway, i got in my truck yesterday and it cranked for a good 3 seconds before turning over, when i got home there was a steady drip of gas coming from what looked like the front of the fuel tank... i was thinking maybe a hole rusted through and some rust clogged the fuel filter causing the poor start. but... today i went out and the gas stopped dripping, but when i restarted it (again a loooong hard start) the gas came flowing out again?? i'm thinking there's a serious leak on the line coming out of the tank, does this sound right? is there a pickup tube or something that could be leaking? i've never really worked on a gas tank... thanks in advance, nice forum y'all have here! ...colin

check both fuel feed and return line for damage. basically find the source of the leak. a leak will lower fuel pressure making it hard to start.
