CB Antenna suggestions. Help!

Hiya all. I just won a CB from eBay (gotta love them!) and want to know what successful ways anyone may have put an antenna on their first gen 4Runner. I have a mag mount, so I'll be good for a start, but want to do a bit more permanent.

So, let me know. Who likes the glass mount ones, the bumper mounts, even if you like the mag mounts! And anything else you may know of.

Thanks!

D'mon

CB ant

A 102inch steel whip is the perfect wavelength for CB radio's but lots of folks don't like them just because they are so long but thats what I have and i have it mounted on my rear bumper. We go way out in the wilderness of New Mexico and Colorado and I like it because it will get out there. I have a tennis ball right where my camper shell and the ant meet so it won't rub my truck.

FireStik II is fine, but how did you mount it? If I had truck mirrors, Id have no problem but the factory mirrors don't have the strength!

if u don't mind taking the headliner out and reinstalling drill into the roof center 1/3 from the back and install a wilson 1000 quick clip. though a with a good linear 225 watts I was able to talk from the central coast of cali to chicago with a wilson mag mount. they do all right if u spend the time to tune it

Actually....the one that I have is on my jeep....I made a bracket to mount behind the taillight....

For trucks, Firestik makes a mount that is bolted to the front of the bed...should be listed on their site.
