Hi everybody!
I've got an '82 4wd with a bad tranny. A friend has a 2wd truck and has offered anything I need off of it. I'm wondering if it's possible to attach the t-case to the 2wd tranny? If not, would it be possible to rebuild the 4wd tranny using the parts from the 2wd unit?

i dont think that it would work, the cases are different, as for the internals, im pretty sure that very few parts will switch over

Thanks for the reply.
I guess I'll keep looking then. If my tranny completely dies before I find one maybe I can throw in the 2wd tranny and driveshaft and run it as a 2wd until I locate a replacement.
