Mr. Clean Autodry system

Has anyone used the Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash system? (www.autodry) The system hooks up to your hose and has a soap dispenser with a special water filter (like the PUR filter for your home) that de-ionizes the water so that it will dry and not leave spots. You do not have to towel dry the car. They guarantee no water spots.

Any feedback?

Thanks

I think I've seen it for either 19.99 or 29.99 which sounds like a decent price.

I bought/use it regularly. I must say I'm pretty impressed with the way it works. The only down sides are 1) you have to buy a replacement filter every few car washes (like 6 or 7 washes, or after 3 for the "trial" filter that comes with it), 2) you have to also buy the car wash soap, and 3) you have to make sure you wipe down every inch of the car with a washmit/cloth when the soap is on, otherwise the water won't sheet off that area and will still look dirty. Otherwise, the time savings for not having to dry the car is great

have u found any websites that sell the filters in bulk for cheap? or better yet u can sometimes call the number on the package and order a case at wholesale. the soap is cheap. like 3 bucks for like 30 washes but the filters seem like it can get expensive even though its worth the money if it does what it says since it can take 3 hours to clean a vehical. most of that time I spend drying and then taking a clean dry towel and a bottle of distilled water and spray wipe spray wipe to get all the water spots off , but I got a black truck like I wanted so I shouldn't bitch right

I'll get it friday and see how it goes

I got this contraption friday and I must say I'm fairly impressed. I washed my car in under 20 min. It paid for itself for the time saved in the first use.

A couple issues.
It works best in shade, something hard to come buy in cali

the other dude was right. any spot u dont hit with a mit will stick out like a sore thumb. easy fix

the inherint problem with any vehical is some spots just hold water and your going to get spot like under the rearveiw mirrors but the rest of the vehical looks awsome

way up

it is great for a quick wash, like in the cold winters here in philly, just to get the salt off, but to make the car really look nice you must wash the old fashioned way. If anything, i just like the water filter

Thanks for the input. I'm going to try it. I live in the country and my well water is very hard and water spots are a problem. Hope it works as well as it has for some of you.
