Tacoma Electrical Problem

I have been lurking here for a while, and never had the need to ask a question, as I have found answers in other peoples posts, but I have finally run into a problem.

My clock, CD player, interrior lights, and electrical door locks do not work. The locks work when the truck is on, but not when the vehicle is off. I think my brother screwed something up when he put in a new head unit. He didn't unhook the battery while messing with things. The truck is a 2001 Tacoma 6 banger extended cab. I looked through the fuses to the left of the drivers wheel (don't know if there are others). Any clue as to what is going wrong.

As to why my brother was screwing with things is that we somewhat share the truck.

there is another fuse box under the hood. though the items described are by the steering wheel
did u get a wire harness or simply splice wires? Power come to the radio from two sources. ACC and dome. Check if he bypassed the acc, gray wire to 12v/blue/yellow wire. (why can't toyota stick to the world color standard?Black=ground /red= Vcc/ yellow=Acc). this could cause a loop with everything else, dome and acc cuircits are seperate and tieing these together can cause problems. In fact check the entire color code since the entire color code is totaly off the standard. That was f@#$ing stuipid to leave the battery hooked up while messing with wires under the dash. thats an imortal sin. Electrostatic discharge can and will kill anyone of the 10+ ecus on the truck.
Anyway I know alot of people shun the thought of paying 10-20 bucks for a deck to vehical harrness but their worth the money. not to mention 3 min install as aposed to 30 if your good, one less thing to worry about no fire hazard, less though involved, cleaner install, a couple other good reasons I can't think of at the moment
