New plugs, new HP!

Gotta love that first test ride with new plugs. I just put in NGK plugs, my last ones had almost 20,000 kms (12,000 miles) on them. Each and every one was a nice chocolate brown, but the electrode was showing a little rounding. Now the truck has more pep and acceleration, an extra 100 rpm at idle (gotta throttle that down again) and runs smooooooooth! (Not bad for a 22RE).

Of course, I did find a vacuum leak (crack on the PCV line at the end of the hose), and bump the plug gap up to .041 (stock is .031)....did I mention the Accel Super Coil I installed too? Me like! Had an Accel Suiper Stock Coil, ran at .035, but it's nothing like this! The funniest thing is that the 22RE rattle you hear was gone, but I only went riding for about 15 minutes....I'll keep a close eye on it and let you all know.

I'm going to go lie down now, feeling a little giddy. I'm actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow....
