4 wheel drive , Please help

I was out four wheeling and I had gotten stuck, I was using the 4 wheel drivce to try to pop out of the spot I was stuck in. When trying to get out, a bad song came from down under. Like a grinding sound. So when I got home I threw it in four wheel just on the pavement. Now it makes a loud poping noise when in the front when I go forward or in reverse. Like it could be a bad U joint or something im not sure. Please help with suggestions.

Sounds like you may have blown either a CV or a birfield depending on the year of the truck.

does it have automatic hubs? if so could be that, they where known to crap out. really need to know the year and what hubs you have.
