Speedometer cable

I have a 1990 Halfton P/U. Recently, my speedometer, odometer, and tripometer have gone out. This would be a problem with the speedometer cable, correct?

I've looked through my Haynes manual, but there are no references about how to change this. How do I do it? Is it an easy fix for someone who's only done their own oil changes? Can I do it with a minimal amount of tools? What all will I need to do it?

Thanks for any input.

It most likely is the cable. Just take the dash apart and make sure that the cable didnt come unplugged and if it is plugged in, im not positive, but i think it goes to your tranny. But you will have to take the dash apart completely to replace it.

Oh, it wont take but an open end wrench in most cases, the usually brake on the underside end, but like he said it may have just popped out.
