Boat Securing

Hello,

New member to the forum and I have a question. Has anyone ever put a 14ft aluminum boat in the box of there Tacoma. I plan on picking one up soon but can't afford the money on a trailer and a hitch right now. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My father and I did that about 15 yrs ago. We had a 13 or 14 ft alum boat and we would transport in an std size toyota truck bed. The truck was an 85 pickup with a regular or std size bed, 6ft, I think. we used straps or rope, cant really remember but we secured the 4 corners and tied a red bandana on the end.
