How can I get max articulation with IFS?

First of all, I have a '93 SR5, extented cab, V6, 5spd. I'm saving for a lift, tires, and eventually a SAS, but for right now I was to do what I can with IFS without spending to much and without doing something that will cause future problems.

So, all I know right now is that I'm going to remove my sway bars. As for the IFS, removing the sway bar should help a little... but I've also heard something about bumpstops (sp?). Do they make aftermarket ones that allow for more travel or something? I do not want to mess with my torsion bars because I heard that just causes more problems in the future... plus I'm not looking to get any lift, just travel. What else can I do to the IFS?

Now, as far as the back end is concerned, it's a solid axel, so it SHOULD be a lot easier to allow it more travel, so what should I do? Like I said, i'm not interested in lifting it at all until I get an actual suspension lift later, I just want max articulation I can get. What do you sugest?

If you shorten the bumpstop then your tires will push up into the fenders.

I think daystar makes some lowpro bumpstops but you can also just cut yours down. You can try cross linked shocks and crank down your tbars for better articulation, more info on 4x4wire.com.

Put a locker in the rear and you articulation becomes much less of a problem. I'd suggest a locker for the front too, but then you'd have to get rid of it when you SAS.

dont remove sway bar, just get a quick disconnect kit, leave them on for road and take them off for off road...truck gets a little squirly in freeway turns etc with out the sway bars....
