How do you know your radiator is fine? A new one is relatively cheap (around $130 for a 3-ROW all brass unit @radiator.com). I had a clogged radiator but ended blowing a headgasket job trying to find out every possible problem with the cooling system until I tried a new radiator. These Japanese engines do not like a lot of heat, and long periods of elevated temps can be just as harmful as one big heat spike.

Another problem may be a bad fan-clutch if the truck overheats when run below 30mph or so. The fan is not needed above 30 mph, so if it overheats at freeway speeds the fan-clutch is not the problem.
